Abstract Body
In the presentation, a protocol of an online group psychotherapy for individuals with misophonia will be presented. The intervention consists of 11 weekly online group sessions (80 minutes each), delivered by a psychotherapist and a co-therapist. The program is organized into five thematic modules, with assessments conducted after each module (every two sessions), along with daily ecological momentary assessment and a one-month follow-up. The presentation will focus on the therapeutic rationale and session structure, as well as potential challenges therapists may face when working with this clinical group. The protocol integrates psychoeducation, cognitive reappraisal, inhibitory learning-based exposure, mindfulness and attention-shifting techniques, relaxation training, and communication skills, including one session involving family members. Preliminary outcome data from the ongoing study will also be presented.
